Fire Island Bakery, the country’s first food delivery company, has opened its first brick and mortar shop in Bengaluru.
The eatery, which started as a small business in 2012, is the brainchild of founder and CEO Anand Sengupta, who says his goal is to bring affordable food and affordable taste to Indian cities.
The company will cater to the masses and serve the countrys most vulnerable.
“We are aiming at being the first Indian food delivery business that delivers great taste,” Senguptas father and CEO told The Times Of India.
“We aim to be a one stop shop for any restaurant and a one-stop shop for all Indian cuisine.”
The company is currently in talks with a few other Indian food retail businesses.
In the short term, Fire Island will focus on catering to small-scale, local businesses.
“I think we have a good opportunity to build up the business and be successful and give a better experience for people in Bengalureta,” Sucka said.
The company also plans to expand into larger stores in Bengalur, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
