As the season heats up and the first week of fall in Florida draws closer, a new type of bakery is making its way into the state.
The Cuban bakery is called Cubans Macrina, and it is opening its first shop in the Sunshine State this week.
The bakery, a joint venture between Cubans bakery and local mom-and-pop store Cubans Bakery, will open at the Corner Market at the corner of Palm Beach and Atlantic Avenue.
The shop will be open Monday through Saturday.
In a video, Cubans macrina explains why it’s making its debut in Florida, and how they chose to open in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
It’s a small business with two full-time employees, and they hope to open their shop by late September or early October.
It may be hard to believe, but we’re opening our first shop this week in Florida!
We’re so excited, but not surprised, and excited for the future of our business and our customers, said the Macresna bakery owner, Yvette Castro.
In addition to Cuban macrina, the shop is also known for its baked goods.
The store is currently serving its signature breakfast and lunch menu.
For its first few weeks, Cubains macrina will serve its signature apple cider.
We’re also offering a full range of pastries, cheesecakes, coffee and more.
There will be some other flavors to choose from.
